If you are not quite a beach lover and would rather be surrounded in lush green landscapes and pure beautiful nature then I may have the answer!!
Wales is a country brimming with friendly locals, endless green fields with white fluffy sheep, homemade hearty food and the chance to chase waterfalls and lakes galore.
TLC would be proud! (Showing my age)

Sitting about an hour away from the northern Wales/England border is Corwen, a charming little village and nestled not far from there is family run Uwch Y Dyffryn.
A place that you can call home, from a few nights up to weeks if you wished. A collection of pods is available to stay in. The pods are self catering with all towels and linen provided, the family run setting is based on a working farm and each pod has its own hot tub to use… however what is extra special is the views that you wake up to across the valley below, it truly is spectacular.
The pods have a full working kitchen, shower and toilet room and a separate bunk bed area. Outside seating and a BBQ is also provided for guests.
Did I also mention, dogs are welcome to! So no need for dog sitters or kennels ;-)
Uwch Y Dyffryn will act as a base for you to explore lakes, waterfalls, and national parks. The coast is also not too far to drive (around 1 hour), where you can visit Colwyn Bay.
Snowdonia national park is around 40 minutes drive away, so if you are feeling brave why not conquer Snowdon, Wales highest mountain!

Wales also features some of the most extreme and highest zip lines in the world, so those adrenaline junkies will feel totally at home here.
My biggest tip is, regardless of the time of year ensure you check the weather and pack accordingly, Wales is very green for a reason ;-)
So think more wellies and hiking boots over flip flops and sandals. Layered clothing will be your friend here! But don’t get caught out and not use sunscreen!
Tip 2, always ensure you know the routes you plan to go (if hiking) and stick to the paths and and walkways that are made for you (especially around the lakes and waterfalls). If you plan to go on a long ramble/walk, always ensure you have the basics such as a backpack, food and water, suitable clothing and potentially spares, a map/phone, money, potentially a multi tool and some simple first aid supplies.
The people of Wales value their country for its natural beauty, vibrant culture, and sense of community. They also appreciate its history, language, and unique traditions. So please embrace yourself in the uniqueness of this beautiful country, i promise it will not disappoint.
Wales screams adventure! If you are a nature lover, a thrill seeker or just want some peace and quiet Wales can give you all of that and more!
What are you waiting for?
